I did a clean install of Vista using this guide, and now my notebook says my graphics card is "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." My graphics card is actually Nvidia 8600 GS. I used a program called DriverMax to back up my drivers before the clean install, and restore them after the clean install. However, my notebook still had a lot of drivers after the clean install (and before using DriverMax). And actually, DriverMax didn't add any more drivers to that list, according to what it detected.

I tried downloading the drivers from Sony's driver list on their site (namely Nvidia display drivers and Sony video shared library) and that didn't fix the issue.

Does anyone know what the issue could be? Here's what drivers I have, does anyone have/see something that I'm missing?

I might just end up using my recovery discs to go back and see if I can figure out what I'm missing. Bah! Thanks for any help guys!
