    Clean install...webcam problems

    i bought a vgn-cr25t in taiwan... i uninstalled the chinese vista which came with the cr25t... and installed the engliah vista home premium... i believe that i put the right webcam driver.. but and i found the software for it... but i cant install the software ... i can use the webcame on the msn ...
    i m just wonderin.. did i get the wrong driver?? or wrong software... ??
    i called sony in tw... they told me that they cant do anhting about it cuz it will only work on their own vista...
    can anyone help me out with my problem... ?? tell me if i installed the wrong driver or wrong software for my webcam... thank you and have a good day ..

    Why cant you install the software? Does it say that the software was not intended for your computer? If thats the case, try Universal Extractor, it will extract the files and you will be able to install.

    i tired.... and when i installed the VAIO Camera Capture Utility...it only installed half way.. then the windoes just dissapeared on me ....

    i was installing the driver for this one for a friend. I have to say that the software of SONy does work however it does not let the file installed in the system.

    SO here is the step.

    Get the webcam driver for FZ . instal it.

    When it comes to windows find new hardware wizard, and u choose next for it to search the drivers u'll see the files paper icon starts to running. BY that time, run Sony VIdeo capture utilities. Check if it works. If it DOES WORK , quickly hit cancel on the drivers searching windows and HOLD youw power button to POWER DOWN ALL THE WAY.

    REstart and voila . the webcam driver finally stuck in there.
