    Quick question,

Does sony include an oem vista cd/dvd with a new sz system? Or do they only give you the opportunity to burn a "recovery vista dvd"? I'd really like to do a clean install of vista, but if the only way to install the OS is to use the pre-bloated version, I might have to get another copy it seems... Also, does the "secret partition" have to exist for the license information from Vista to sync up correctly?

    Thanks,

    ZK

I think they only let you burn "recovery discs" filled with bloatware... at least that why they gave me. You can borrow someone else's disc and use the serial on the bottom of your laptop

^will that only work if the second partition information is in tact? I'd like to do away with the "recovery partition" and clean install the OS with only one partition... possible?

You can purchase your bloatware removal disks from Ivan with Portable One. Purchased my SZ780NW from him and the service is excellent and good pricing. I trust him 100%. You will find excellent reviews about him and his company here and at resellerratings.com. Good luck!
