The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Cleaned F11 fan -- anything else?

    I just cleaned my F11 fan using the excellent instructions here:

    After 15 months, it was disgusting. (Only thing I did different was to use alcohol-damp Qtips to clean each fan blade. Blowing/sucking/dry brushing was not cutting it.)

    Is there anything else that needs cleaning? I'm ever searching to make quiet the fan noise. (Cleaning the fan DID help.) :D
