    i'm looking for a Clearance laptop from sonystyle,compare to the brand new one,it's much cheaper,what's the diff between brand new and Clearance??? :confused: how is the quaitly compare to the new ones???

    assuming the site tells the truth, there technically is no difference, they are new and you have the full year warranty (unlike refurbished, which is only 90 days).

    Clearance ones tend to have slightly odd specs at times (like a maxed out processor/ram but only 60 gb HD, that sort of thing). Maybe custom ordered ones that got returned/cancelled? Anyways, the site says they are new and unopened.

    Clearance I think are mostly discontinued models, some of them I guess being just as good as current models, but having XP instead of Vista preinstalled.
