The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I think you're confusing this issue with something else. Mostly, the cloths are to protect the screen from physical scratches and marks, rather than burning.

    I got my Radtech cloth. It looks and feel to be the exact material sold by ShaggyMac. I am not sure if there's an actual difference, but feel and look wise is the same.

    I'm not a Sony user, but I'll post anyway...

    I use the foam thing that came with my Dell (like the pic on the second post of this thread), but I know it will end up being disintegrated or lost, so I bought a piece of Microfibre cloth from a cloth store... they didn“t sell it for notebook care purposes, but for people who makes clothes...

    I feels really soft, but it's very very thin... I wonder if it will protect the screen at all...
