On custom S, T, Z, and L series for anyone going to school. I'm glad I waited for the new MacBook to be announced before confirming my Sony decision!

I picked up a new Z yesterday with free PS3. It obviously overrides the free case offer that's on the normal site, but no big loss there. I already have a PS3, so once I pawn it off, that's a nice $200 cash back on my purchase. The education website prices also appeared to be ~3% off as well since the base config showed up as $1549 instead of $1599.

SWEET! Perfect timing too - the bomb Apple dropped today (same old 1280x800 on the 13" MBP) sealed the deal on the new S15 for me. Ordered a base S15 with the 640LE.

Thanks for the heads up. + rep for you!

Funny how microsoft and sony are giving away their consoles for free for buying their other products. They are trying to get rid of their stocks to make space with the next gen consoles.

It is a great deal but this offer has been present since Saturday the 9th. Sony is not "responding" to Apple's new Macbook by offering this deal, this deal came prior to Apple's announcement. :)

I don't think he was inferring that Sony was responding to Apple with this deal. More that he was waiting to see if Apple would announce retina displays on models other than the 15". I think a lot of people imagined that a lot of the new models would be retina.

This deal seems more like a "response" to Microsoft Store's Xbox 360 offer ;)
