Do a standby/resume then go to "Performance Information and Tools"->"Advanced Tools"->"View performance details in Event log".

    Here's what mine says (SZ680 2GB RAM):

    Windows has resumed from standby:
    Standby Duration : 14173ms
Standby Incident Time (UTC) : 8/1/2008 5:21:24 AM
    Resume Duration : 862ms
Resume Incident Time (UTC) : 8/1/2008 5:22:23 AM
    IsDegradation : false

Standy or sleep takes 15 seconds which seems rather long. I am not using Hybrid Sleep.

On my previous laptop VAIO S170P it took 2-3 seconds to standby (XP).

What times are you guys getting?

    Sometimes it's worse:

    Standby Duration : 34458ms
Standby Incident Time (UTC) : 8/1/2008 4:23:59 AM
    Resume Duration : 1062ms
Resume Incident Time (UTC) : 8/1/2008 5:02:59 AM
    IsDegradation : true

I didn't look at the eventlog, however, I stopped it until the power light went blinking. It takes somewhere between 15-30 secs. Unacceptable if you ask me. I thought it's the hybrid stand-by, but the times didn't improve without.
I'll try to install Windows 7 and see what happens.
