Sony SVF was wiped clean with first level DOD cleaning.(one time over wright) Will not accept restore disks. Have no other 64bit software; Could the problem be in the BIOS? Need to flash? Sony not cooperate in giving flash software or instruction Would appreciate your ideas and direction.

Did you delete the partitions? I think the UEFI BIOS types want the partitions numbered in a certain way. Try to Google it.

The drive was totally cleaned and wiped out the partitions. Can you suggest a Partition Program for Win 8?

You really need to Google this, or wait for someone who is hands-on with this. My own laptop is much older, and does not support UEFI.
This will give you some pointers: Configure UEFI/GPT-Based Hard Drive Partitions
Computer wiped clean; will do not accept software
