I upgraded my girlfriend's VAIO from Win7 x64 to Win10 x64 and the only issue I haved was the audio. From the start, sound only came crackling, which was resolved by deactivating hardware acceleration in the system settings.

But now, everytime we are skyping (which is everday we don't see each other) the sound fails in Skype. Most of the time the internal micro fails, so I can't hear her, more often than not the audio-output fails, too, so she can't hear me.

I think this is a driver issue, because the audio-driver for this notebook was only updatet once by Sony in May 2011.
I already tried to find a Win10 compatible driver ("Conexant SmartAudio", I don't know the exact codec, because it isn't stated anywhere) but only found some from Lenovo which didn't work because the setup doesn't recognize a supported device.

Is there any hope for finding a more recent driver or resolving the issue otherwise? As it is, I'd have to go back to Win7 just because of that which would be a shame.
