Could someone show me how to setup my laptop to make it very squeaky clean and fast! Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I delete the recovery parition now i have 60g but it suppose to start out with 64. PLEASE could someone please tell me where the other four went... i am afraid i got scam!

The 64GB is a bit misleading but I don't think you've been ripped off...

Storage manufacturers generally quote gigabytes as 1000 x 1000 x 1000 bytes, whereas 1024 x 1024 x 1024 is a more honest figure (because of binary and stuff - wikipedia it if you really want to know ;) )... so you'll always get slightly less GB than the quoted figure.

On top of this, filesystems (FAT, FAT32, NTFS, etc, etc) have an overhead because of the way they organise files on the disk to make your drive accessible by the OS. Thus, you'll lose some GB due to the overhead. It's just one of those things everybody has to put up with, I'm afraid.

I hope you used some blank DVDs to save your recovery info before you deleted the recovery partition?
