    Hey guys,
    I recently bought a sony vaio fit 14e - SVF14212SNB.

I read online that this Sony vaio Fit 14e has a backlit keyboard.

However I am unable to find any such feature and I searched up online and even installed the notebook utility driver for this model.

To activate or deactivate the keyboard backlit. All I need to do is go to Vaio control centre and find the "keyboard and mouse" to activate or deactivate the keyboard backlit.

The thing is the "keyboard and mouse" option is missing from the control centre.

I thought installing the notebook utility driver should do the trick but it hasent changed any thing in the vaio control centre

    Any thoughts about this?

    Thanks

It could be your Fit doesn't have keyboard backlight.

I had that doubt too ( like I thought this model was touch screen lol).

But the letters on the keyboard have a slight transparent gap right next to each letter.

For example, Q,O,P have a darker centre and all other letter have darker shade of text right besides the white text

So this is what has got me thinking.

Usually, if your keyboard has backlight, key hinges and areas underneath each key should be in white color.
I noticed, keyboard without backlight, letters are painted on the keys while keyboard with backlight, the keys are painted and left the letters unpainted.
