Looking online I see the following.

    Sony Vaio VGN-Z31MN/B
Will this have the super high res? I can find no referance to it. Seems to only have a 250Gb Hard Drive. I need 500, is this easy to get to, to upgrade, because fo the G Sensor?

    Sony VAIO Z21WN/B
This one seems to have a faser CPU, not by much tho. And has 3 year warranty, the 31 above has 1?

    HELP :)

    Cheers,
    Will

Assuming your local laws don't give you additional warranty (e.g. UK 1 year, Germany 2) the 3 year one has possibly got a warranty "upgrade" included as you can buy them as an additional upgrade.

In terms of the HDD - in the "old days" Sony ued an external shock sensor - if they still do its HDD independant, if its built in its HDD dependant and the you just have to buy an HDD with a shock sensor.

No the Z31MN/B has the lower 1366x768 res.

The other model that you're interested in also has built in WWAN.

It is not that hard to upgrade your HD but you will need to dismantle your laptop and well if you don't have experience i wouldn't recommend it.

    Edited to add:
What is the best price that you've seen for both of these laptops?

When I put WD Blue 500GB in my Z I noticed a tiny gadget in the vicinity of HD with a 2-wire connector. Did not a second thought to it back then. But now I think that must be the shock sensor. It's on the left, above the audio and Firewire sockets.
