First note* Sorry if similar questions like this has been posted but mine is different, tried all advice given on those similar threads but still wont work and finally there are 2 years old.

I am having problems with connecting my Sony Vaio SZ61 laptop (Sony have discontinued this model hence it's really hard to find any updates on it as specified by threads 2 yrs ago.) to my Samsung 40 inch LE40R8.

Problem is that it wont recognize the PC input. I have connected the VGA - VGA properly with audio cables correctly placed (Ok dont talk about audio as i cant even get video showing first :( ). note* my laptop only contains VGA output thus i use a VGA connection. - Yes it does work as i have tried it on a smaller (crapper brand LCD tv) and works perfectly fine!

I have tried all things i could - read previously could be a bios/ event source problem with sony so tried to find relevant updates for my model SZ61 BUT couldnt!

So what is the problem? And how to solve it?

Any help be much appreciated, thanks
