    Connecting Vaio Z and CS to digital cable modem - Help please.

    hi im a new member here, and i just bought the sony Z series and CS. now my problem is i can't connect to my High speed dsl internet but if i bring it to my g/f house which she has high speed cable internet it will connect. the wierd thing is i have other laptop in the house ( toishiba ,HP & Acer ) and they all can connect to my Dsl moden/router but teh sony ones can't. so im asumming maybe thier a application preventing me from connecting? any help wold be great i would love to start suffering the net on the Z.

    here wat i get when i try to connect


    computer -- >yellow hazzrad sign --> Unidentified network -- X ---> internet

    undentified network ( public network )

    Access ---- > Limited connectivity

    Connection --- > Wireless network connection ( xxx )

    Singal Strenght --- > Excelllent

    have you tried renewing the ip?
    do use a router at home?

    i tried renewing the ip it doesn't work , its a modom with a bulit in router i got from my internet provider

    Hmm, can you try repairing the connection when you click on the red "X"? (I remember having to do something like that for my wireless connection to my router a while ago)
