I have a FZ190 with HDMI and was wondering if anyone knows if my TV will be compatable.

    Sharp LC-37D40U w/2 HDMI Inputs
    Res. 1366x768 pixels

Ive read that HDMI only works when the signal matches the native resolution of the TV? Has anyone here tried with success?

Can the video card be configured to output the correct signal?

Well, then you've read wrong. That will work.

So since the FZ is 1280x800 does this mean that Ill have some black bars on the sides and a little cut off the top and bottom?

It doesn't matter. They are two different screens, and they can have two different resolutions. They are in no way connected.
