    Hi

My SZ2 has the T2500 with 2GHz Core Duo. I just came across some temps I like to know if they are ok.

The CPU idles at around 45-48 depending on how long it is on and what you've done before. Room temp is pretty high thought at 27 - **** hot summer.

Load temp normally is around 70 if stressed over a longer time. But I just installed Company of Heroes (that is supposedly optimized for Dual Core) and that brought the temp up to 78 at one time. I don't know what happened there ingame, I just saw it in the log file of NHC. Normally playing CoH it runs 72-75. When done playing it drops down to 50 very quick.

Funny thing is that if I force the CPU to 1GHz (disable dynamic switching in NHC) it stays much cooler (below 70) and the game is not much slower at all. Haven't noticed much stuttering or anything. Maybe it is slightly slower but not that you would see very quick. The first time I played CoH I forgot to enable dynamic switching and basically played 2 scirmishes and did not even notice any slowdown.

Are those temps ok or shall I be concerned? Thank you for your help.

P.S.: Funny thing, that a game heats up the CPU more than Prime ever did.
