Hi guys, just got my brand new SZ1VP (its awesome), however, like all laptops its full to the top with crap and not setup how I would like.

I want to create a dual booted system, 100GB for Windows XP and 20GB For Windows Vista (Wanna try it). I understand there is a recovery partition, should I leave this alone? Or can I burn it to DVD and then remove it? Id much prefer to remove it.

Is there any nuiances with the drivers etc I need to be aware of? I dont want to install all the VAIO junk, purely just the drivers, will this be possible?

Any things i need to be aware of before i begin, especially what to backup etc would be really great!

    Thanks all!

Definitly burn the recovory disks. Best always to do so. The disks will have drivers and utilities that you might want or need, maybe not, but better safe than coming here like many do begging for someone elses copy of the disks.

As for nuiances with drivers, and VISTA installs there are a number of threads if you go back a page or two that help cover this stuff for you in detail and will really help get you on your way. Glad you are loving the SZ already!
