    It needs to be pc2 5300 or pc2 4200.

I may have corsair 2gb pc2 5300 sticks for sale too...

Are you saying that the Amazon RAM won't work?
On the Corsair website it lists CMSS1GB-533SOD for the SZ160P/C.
in which, I'm a tad confused.

CMSS1GB-533SOD is corsair pc2-4200 533mhz so it will work.

    Great.

Does the SZ come with 533Mhz 4200 RAM,? Will using the 5300 make the memory spped faster, and reduce latancy?

I cannot buy from NewEgg as they will only accept US credit cards, like SOnyStyle. It doesn't matter if you live in the US and have your CC registered to a US address. If its not a US CC, then goodbye. I tried to buy from them a few months ago. Amazon does accept all CCs, so I have to buy from them.

    Try Fry's/Outpost

    I ordered item number: 4815980

but they have other kits for about the same price. I have a European CC and they do international shipping as well.

    Skrunch.

Had a look on Fry's and saw this:
    DDR2 2GB PC4200 (533MHz) Dual Channel Kit (2x1gb) Corsair Value Select VS2GBKIT533D2
    CORSAIR:
    Outpost #: 4705569

Will it work ; They don't say whether its a 200 or 240pin module.

just looked at the picture and it won't work as its the wrong shape.

Buying memory is a frustrating process: The part number on Corsair web site is CMSS1GB-533SOD, yet the resellers want to use their own part numbers to represent the different bundles they want to sell, which would be fine if each description was detailed, but they don't. Fry uses reference numbers like
    VS1GBKIT533D2 or VS2GBKIT533D2.

If you search on Corsair's web site for the product they recommend for the SZ (CMSS1GB-533SOD), then you won't get any result. They did recommend it in the first place.

One has to laugh ; I've been trying to buy some memory for over a month and a half now :) I think I'm getting too old for this game.

I purchased two of the Mushkin 1 GB memory modules 2 months ago. They were easy to install and they have been working great! I noticed that the price at Fry's Outpost is even better now than what I paid.

I bought two 4200 1GB Crucial sticks for $100.00 ea @ pricegrabber/zipzoomfly.com ($150.00 @ Crucial); they had the Corsairs listed for about $85 but a lot of people were having problems w/ them (mostly mac) so I went with the Crucial.
