Hey everyone. I am thinking about buying the Sony FW with 1080p. I was wondering if it is possible to hook up the FW to my PS3 via HDMI and play my PS3 games at 1080p on it. Is that possible? Thanks.

I am pretty sure that the HDMI on the FW (and all laptops) is OUTPUT only.

It is output only, you would need a TV tuner card with an HDMI input in order to do what you are looking for.

Your laptop would probably choke trying to handle the 1080p and 5.1 DTS sound going in the HDMI cable... No tv tuner use a hdmi in port so you'll have to limit yourself to 480p...

Well, according to Ayle there is no such thing as that.
There are for desktops, but a quick search turned up nothing for the laptop.
You could always get an Expresscard TV Tuner for your laptop and use it with component cables, otherwise you will need a converter box to change the HDMI to something else.
I'd probably go with component since the screen is so small anyway.
    Something like this:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815100022&Tpk=expresscard tv tuner

But I'm not really into TV, so I am not sure which cards are "the ones to get."
