I was going to order a Thinkpad T530, but yesterday I stopped in at a Sony Store and played with the Vaio S15 with the HD IPS display and really liked it so I am seriously considering going for it instead.

I do have a couple of questions...I intend on replacing the HD with an SSD, probably the Samsung 830 or new 840. If I make recovery discs will I be able to install Windows and all of the drivers onto the new SSD? Also I saw a youtube review of the S15 and it was said that Sony uses SATA II, not SATA III, is this true?

If you tried to look in any thread about the S15 you'd know that you'll have no problem with SSDs. If you want full speed on them you'll need to disable the ODD and put the computer to sleep though.
