Hello. My VCPEB290X fell about a foot.. and the LCD is useless. there are several crAackes from the lower right corner, to the upper left corner. -- and the screen disapayes several and horrizontal and vertical lines...
Will my warranty cover this? I'm guessing they will install a new LCD for free, but I pay for the LCD?
I called and they said their
on site peoploe will call and come over, but it's been 2 hours.
also, what is a VCPEB290X CTO?

Physical damage is not covered under the warranty. You will probably pay parts and labour.
-
It's gonna cost you an arm and a leg to pay for it.
-
Ok.. I guess my best course of action is to install a new LCD myself. Does anyone know the best place to get an LCD?
Could I get one from Sony at a discount?
here it is: Sony Vaio EB series, Intel core i3 / Win 7 64 bit / 4GB - eBay (item 170568355358 end time Dec-22-10 14:13:45 PST) -
why an arm and a leg? The replacement LCD here is $75
Sony VAIO VPCEB290X CTO compatible Laptop LCD Screens. Brand-new (never used). -
I called Sony and the part number I need is A1736630B.. but it is like $300. I might as well sell the computer with the craCKED LCD
