I've got a problem on my Sony SZ680. It's crackling sound with Sigmatel soundcard and Windows Vista Business. During video playback it's ok, but during audio playback (through Winamp, Media player etc) sound skips maybe every 20-40 seconds.
I tried to disable all Enhancements (Speakers/Headphones in Control Panel), reinstall drivers, switch off microphone - nothing really helped.

As I understand many have the exact same problem...

What should I do? :(

I disabled all enhancements, but alas this anoying crackling sound persists :((
Maybe Service Pack will help? Though all these beta SPs make more problems than solve...

well, it seems that this problem is somehow connected to network activity. When wifi and network adapters are disabled sound doesn't crackle.
I updated drivers for network devices but it didn't helped :(( damn! :*(
