Hi all,
I'm having trouble working out if I can feasibly replace my optical drive in my Z11 with an M4 SSD that is SATA3. Can this work? Do I just need the right caddy?
This is the SSD:
CT512M4SSD2 - 512GB, 2.5-inch Solid State Drive , from Crucial.com
This is the video I was gonna follow:
Add a 2nd Hard Drive to a Sony VAIO Z11, Z12, Z13 Laptop - YouTube
Will it support the M4 or do I need an older SSD?
I can't quite work it out!
Many thanks,
Josh

yes any 2.5" sata ssd will work. You won't get SATA3 speeds, but in the real world, it's nearly impossible to tell the difference :\

If you don't have a stock quad ssd raid then it is all fine. If you do, you will experience some acpi issue and your CPU won't downclock anymore.

Is that a 4X64GB configuration? It's known that this model computer loses it when 5 hard disks are plugged in.
