    Hi,
I have a 2010 Z12 (VPCZ12V9E). It carries an NVidia GT 330M and the official sony specs suggest max external resolution 2048x1536.

I bought an ultrawide 21:9, 2560x1080 LG29UM65, and I just realized the incompatibility issue

Is there anything i can do to make this work? currently it stretches 1920x1080 pixels onto the 21:9 screen.

    More specifically:
    1) Is there any way i can natively force a custom resolution? either a 2560x1080 and see *if* it will work, or possibly a smaller 21:9, like 2037x873, which is <2048x1536 and theoritically shoulld be supported anyway

i read around that there are some registry keys that permit custom resolutions, but havent managed to make it work.

    2) maybe a 3rd party application that can do that?

    3) perhaps a patched driver?

    4) if none of the above work, can anyone suggest a usb(2.0) external display adapter that will support 2560x1080?

    thanks alot!
