This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Clean install of Win7 ULT64 on a Vaio VGN-Z690

    Device Manager now says:
    Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

    How do I remove the reg entry it placed!?

    RESOLVED:
    The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that you upgraded to Windows Vista
