I have got an S5XP and have noticed that the quality of DVDs is particularly poor.

I have tried using the pre-installed Intervideo WinDVD for VAIO and also tried the Nvidia Purevideo plugin for Media Player.

THe picture is very grainy and shows a lot of colour banding.

Has anyone else experienced this with an S Series and is there anything I can do to resolve it?

    Thanks
    Chez

Its crap isnt it, a real let down considering sony seem to pride them selves on decent screen technology, my really old ibm is a hell of aolot better
