Do you guys think it's a bad idea to switch the SZ's 5400 RPM hard drive that has G-Sensor Shock Protection with a 7200 RPM hard drive that doesn't have G-Sensor Shock Protection? Does that G-Sensor Shock Protection even matter?

Also, does switching hard drives waste more battery?

Out of all the notebooks I have, and my friends have and family and basically whoever I know...there hard drive never failed.

I dont really see a use for G-Sensor unless you actually plan to throw your notebook around :p

according to all the people that upgrade, the g sensor is built into the notebook not the hdd. so when you upgrade you dont lose that funcionality.
