I've had it since October and I've just noticed this today.

There are other dead pixels scattered across the screen that I've been able to live with, but this is just an eyesore. Has anyone had any experiences with Sony getting this problem fixed? I use my laptop on a daily basis because of school and I'm afraid a repair may take much longer than I can afford.

    I bought it from SonyStyle.

You have other dead pixels?? This one looks like 3 dead pixels grouped together.

Send it to Sony. Tell them that it affects your enjoyment and usability of the notebook since it is noticeable while working with documents and watching DVDs. It should be covered by the warranty.

I bought my S460 six months ago, and got a dead pixel last month. I thought you had to have several dead pixels before Sony replaces the screen.

Sometimes they will do it if they are in the middle of the screen as they are more annoying.
