    Hi

Well I've been constantly worrying about the power socket on my Sony Vaio FW and it became even looser today when I plugged in the AC adaptor, the guy on Sony chat told me in 1-2 days a courier will come with a box to take it away.

I know it may take quite a while to get the laptop back but what is their support and repairs like?

I've heard many horror stories on the internet how they charge people an arm and a leg for repairs even well within the warranty period as they blame the person for the damage, the laptop has remained stationary on my desk since day of purchase but even people who have done that seemed to get charged (usual cost seems to be around £170) which I don't have right now.

Do you think this will all work out? the machine is only 3 months old and well cared for.

I wish you the best of luck, as far as i've read the problems start after the warranty expires when sony charges huge amounts of money for screen replacements.
The local computer store here in my lil 'town' even refuses to work with sony because their warranty service is (according to their experience) ridiculous. But since that store charges about 100 euros more for the same laptop any other pc store charges, they should consider themselves no better.

I am sorry, I think you have started several threads in the past regarding this very same issue you have.

Why do you need to start a whole different thread - once again - and not ask your questions within your original threads, since the issue is the same ? Having all of your issues encapsulated in one thread, is better than peppering the whole forum with multiple threads regarding one single issue, right ?

Should I delete my threads and add info to my original posts?
