    Deleted brightness?

    So I deleted a bunch of programs that I didn't know what they were.. i think i deleted something important because I cant adjust the brightness on my laptop anymore.. either with the brightness buttons or manually.. is there a driver or seomthing I can download again to gain this function back? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FE550G

    now that i've found my words again, i'd say you'll have to reinstall the proper driver, yes. there might be an OSD as well.

    i know.. im an idiot.. but anyone know/ have a link to what driver it is? I don't know anything about computers

    Normally that two files from Sony- Sony Notebook Utilities and Sony Notebook Control Device Driver. Check the Sony Drivers page for your specific model and operating system.
