I just purchased a brand new SZ650N/C and I'm in the process of removing bloatware and other extranenous crap. While I'm narrowing things down one by one, I can't figure out how to get rid of that little on screen toolbar that lets you turn on/off wlan/buetooth/lan/modem.
It's driving me nuts because it always sits on top of all programs and there's nowhere I can put it where it's unobtrusive. I can't figure what the name of the program is that's running that toolbar.
Any help on how I can either hide the toolbar to just exist in the background? Or how I can just remove it completely if it's unecessary?
Thanks!

It turns on with Windows? If it does, I'd suggest going the the startup items.

I forgot what it's called, but you can disable it in msconfig. I'd seriously recommend you follow the guide in my signature.

Click your start button. In the control panel under classic view there is a taskbar and startup icon. I use windows vista home premium. There are choices there to hide the taskbar and not have it on top of the screen. Many other choices also.
Hope this helps,

He's talking about a Sony "feature," not the Windows taskbar.
Desktop toolbar removal?
