    Desperate: Need FN key drivers for Sony Vaio FZ140E running XP

    I need to use use my laptop with a beamer/projector and turns out that the function key (F7) does not work since I am running XP. I need a solution desperately and can some please help me get just the right drivers/software/whatever is needed to that I can use the function keys (especially the one for F7 i.e. for external monitor/beamer/projector).

    There are some threads here about installing XP on an FZ model. Use the search option at the top of the page and you should be able to find the info you need. Be aware that the order of installing the libraries and drivers IS important.

    I didn't leave you a URL. If you are referring to the one in my signature line, that is for Vista. I don't run XP but I have been involved in some discussions in other threads here about the proper way to get XP to run on an FZ. I don't have a direct link to those threads but if you use the drop down search box that when dropped down reads "GOOGLE search forums" (NOT the search box at the top of the screen) and enter "FZ XP" (without the quotes) you should be able to find the proper thread(s). (The search box at the top of the screen does NOT allow two character search terms. The dropdown one does.)
