I am wanting to purchase a VGA to S Video cable to hook my SZ140 to my TV. How do I tell if my video card has this function??

9 times out of 10 its a video out. I haven't seen too many notebooks that have video in. Matter of fact i haven't seen any.

Does anyone know if there are any notebooks that come with video in?

My HP ZD7000 came pre-installed with WinXP Media Edition and a giant "dongle" that would let you use the system as a Tivo-type device. It took S-video, Composite and Coax video in to turn the beast into a DVR. I did use it a few times to capture a few old camcorder movies, but quickly learned that I could do this one step better (and with less degradation) by running the composite into my Sony Digi-camcorders SVHS input, and then capturing via firewire, basically doing the analog-to-digital conversion on the fly.

I think you can still get HP's with the video-in dongle, or just go out and buy any number of USB2.0 devices that accomplish the same feat.
