I upgraded my laptop (FW31M) from Vista to W7 and I noticed that both the card reader and page scroll on the side on the touchpad aren't working. I went onto the sony.co.uk site and I there aren't any drivers specifically for them. Are they under different drivers? or utility update? Would also help if you could link me where I can get official or safe drivers for both of these. Thanks.

If I wanted to install 64Bit what would I need to do? will it allow me to simply upgrade?

best is you start from scratch - clean install. Anyhow, you have far better support for 64bit drivers from Sony site than for 32bit W7.

I have installed W7 64 bit on my old VGN-Z (originally came with Vista Business 32bit). Working as a charm.

Currently downloading 64Bit, good job I'm a Uni student, I get all this stuff for free :p
I'll keep you updated on how it goes..When upgrading to 32bit I partitioned it and simply deleted the windows.old file, is that the same as a clean install? The reason I did this was because there was no ISO file and I couldn't be bothered to extract everything and make it bootable.

Okay so I've downloaded and installed x64, it's working great. I just need to know 1/2 more things.. The memory card driver installer..how does this work? I've downloaded the file, but there is no setup application within the folder. (even after exctracting)
secondly, the buttons and Fn button, how do I get them to work? could you link me the drivers for them?
    many thanks.

Could someone supply me with the drivers which make the shortcut buttons on the top and the Fn button to work. I'm running windows 7 64bit (FW31M)
Been looking all day, and don't know which drivers I've missed out on installing.
    Thanks.
