Not bad, especially for a Sony. Payed $1199 for mine. Specs in Sig.

Pretty good deal. Just hope you dont want to be playing the newest games at high settings. But the 8400 is a great card and will still play most new games on medium or medium-low.
Yeah, a Sony at that price is good. three years ago i bout a VAIO PCG-K33, it had a Pentium M, 1GB RAM, 15", ATI IGP, etc. It was priced at $1500! I got it from a reseller for $900, new too.

Hmm, for $1200+, I'd be expecting to get an 8600m GT and a higher resolution screen.

I paid less than $900 for my sig. Sony is more expensive though.

My cousin bought the exact same model not too long go, I believe he paid around $1300 so I would say you made a pretty good deal.

I pretty much decided from the beginning that I only wanted a Sony or an HP. Lenovo was a possibility, but they were a little out of my range and I don't care for their aesthetics. No offense to the Dell owners out there either, but I'm just not comfortable laying down $1000+ for a Dell product anymore. Too many bad personal experiences have left a sour taste in my mouth. As for gaming, I just want to play CoD4 occasionally. I've seen it played on an 8400m GS and I was satisfied with that quality, so I should definitely be happy with the GT. The big thing I was concerned about with the Sony was the resolution of the screen, but after seeing a Sony FZ ECO screen in person, I was completely satisfied. The screen and the video card were the two major reasons I didn't go with HP. An HP with almost an exact same configuration, but with a GS, was running almost as much as the Sony and the screen didn't appear to be near the quality I would expect at that price point.

I'm not sure I'm even going to use the extended battery, so I might sell it before opening it. They go for around $250 new, so hopefully I can make a decent amount on it. That would make the deal look a lot better... even though I would have happily paid $1263.08 for just the laptop without the extra goodies. It seems to be exactly what I've been looking for.
