Okay, now I did a clean install of vista, and I downloaded all of their utilities, but I can't find anything to allow me to use my sprint broadband modem. The drivers for EVDO are there, but SmartWi isn't there for the TZ180N! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

    Any clues?

yeah, it's actually not -- I had to go grab it from the 150N list. It doesn't show up at all on the 180N.

Here is something I do not understand -- why do I have to reactivate Sprint when I reinstalled the OS? It's not working (I'm being charged for it though!) and they are of course closed and it won't reactivate over the air. Is this going to happen every time I do a reinstall? I thought it wrote your creds to a smartcard or something inside the unit. How can I get it to work again? I have an activate code.

if you have your activation code, you don't have to do it or you have to tell it that it is already activated.

At least that was the case with all my built-in Novatel U720s in my TXNs

I know I am being dense, but I just scanned device manager and can't find the broadband modem. I know the drivers are installed, but where would I find the adapter to set the properties?
