So I got a US VAIO (specs below), which supports Verizon, but what I didn't expect what the place to put a SIM right behind the battery. Is this working and did anyone try to put a GSM sim in it?

And where would you enter the settings?

I don't know anything about US providers. Ofcourse you're SIM has to be 3G enabled.

Only thing I can say is that it works with my T-Mobile SIM in the Netherlands. Was a bit cumbersome to get it to work using the OneClick internet utility (which came preinstalled). There's a thread in the Sony forum which got it working on my system. I had to change a profile or name or something like that in the OneClick Internet application.

Don't forget to enable Wireless WAN in the Smart Connect tool.

Haven't used it much at all though. I work mostly at home so WIFI is available and T-Mobile 3G in The Netherlands is A-W-F-U-L.
