I used to have a Sony Z-Series back in 2008 (don't know exactly which model), and even though i was pretty happy with it, i somehow felt that the Sony Z was very fragile. Did the design of the Z12 improve at all, e.g. is it more sturdy now or is it exactly like the model from 2008?

I need to get a business notebook soon and I'm having a hard time choosing between the Z12 and the Lenovo X201. I'm pretty sure that the Z12 outperforms the X201, but the Lenovo seems more fit for everyday business use.

    Thanks for any help!

hmm... built quality of z is the same i guess the hinges a bit disorientated if you open it from the side... the speakers not good... gpu driver can't update... keyboard a bit uncomfortable for first try... sometimes the wireless can auto disconnected but fixed with new driver...

I remind that people said Z11/12 design improved a lot compared to the first Z, you should just wait for their thoughts.

Performance improvement is huge, and love the lighted keyboard. Fragility is the same. As for the exterior design, I prefer the previous model, especially the keyboard and palm rest portions.
