Ok, I've been kicking myself for buying the s150 a few weeks back. I got a little impatient and all my questions regarding the size of ram for the 9700 came back answered as 32mb. I figured it wasn't worth the extra time and cash to upgrade to only a 32mb vidcard. But then sony makes the revelation that the 9700 is actually a 64mb card. What the heck? Man get the facts straight Sony, that would have totally changed my purchase decision. Anyhow, you s170 owners that have used an s150, do you notice any other difference between the two other than hardware upgrades. Like screen clarity, keyboard flex, battery life, weight? How's the fan noise and the heat issues. Mine gets quite noisy and really hot when playing games.
Well, in the end I still love my s150 but if I can justify getting the s170 I will, but it would have to be more than just a vid card upgrade.

I still don't own one yet, but from what I've read, the video card is the only real difference. Everything else, internal and external is the same, including the other issues you mentioned.
The one possible exception is that some people who noticed flex on the S150 keyboard do not seem to have flex in their S170 keyboards. Of course, there are others who didn't notice a flex problem on the S150 to begin with, so I think it may be a problem only found on certain S150 machines. -
I have no clu WTF ur taking about, not to get realy aggressive here or anything but where the hell did u get a s150 with a 9700? I aske a few reps and the only diff is the s150 is a preconfigured model and the s170 is one that you can customize. Check out there site, sonystyle.com. I would like to know where u saw a 32 mb radeon 9700 as 64 is already cheating graphics. [
