Guys..this seems to be a problem with all the VAIO notebook series..
I have an SR290 series notebook..and how do I disable VAIO Care from loading in my taskbar during startup ?..I can exit/Quit the program once it loads up on the taskbar..
Windows Defender and msconfig, both don't show that program - VAIO Care in the list of start-up programs !!!
Sony tech took control of my notebook from their end, and issue was escalated to higher level tech, but even he couldn't fix the issue !..
I can delete the program completely from Control Panel - Programs..but I want to keep it..only don't want it to load up during start-up..
I can remove all my other programs without any issues through msconfig and even Windows defender..but have no clue how to get the VAIO Care thing out..
There is one program from Sony Corp. in list of programs at start-up in msconfig - it's Sony ISB ...I have no clue what that program is ..
Guys..anyone, please if you know about this, please guide.
Thanks,
xbr

If you know the process name, try running regedit and searching there. Most startup processes are usually in this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Be careful messing around with regedit though, you could end up corrupting vista. -
What is Vaio Care? What does it do? I don't see it on my TT. ISB is a battery utility, you can google to see detailed explanation. I turned it off in msconfig, and it is running ok.

@srxbr: It's a task in the Task Scheduler.
