I had a rather lousy experience with my Vaio desktop, and I was wondering if Sony has started giving OS disks with their computers. I had a hard time wiping/reinstalling the OS on my comp without them.

They offer a good "facility" (your computer :D with the approprite software) to create a backup disc yourself.
As they deem this sufficient, they don't supply the disc.

You could try and obtain a Windows Anytime Upgrade disc and reinstall Vista from that. Just make sure that you have your product key on hand as it prompts you for that before you can even begin installing.
