I have a sony vaio FE 92 HS (Japanese model) with nVidia go 7600 which came with vista pre-installed.I did not like vista and so installed win xp after formatting the HDD clean.

Hi all I have few questions:

1.After installing all drivers I see that device manager detects the LCD display as plug and play display. Is it not supposed to recognise it as sony LCD display ?

2.The refresh rate supported is 60 Hz for 1200*800 resolution. Can I not get higher refresh rate like 75 or 85 Hz ?

    3. Do I need to install any driver for the LCD display ?

If it works, it's ok. imo ;p

If its a laptop, its unlikely that you'd have a higher refresh rate than 60hz
