    Hello,

I'm trying to fix a fan in my Vaio N365E laptop. During disassembly I've run into a major problem. I've unscrewed everything, but there is a metal plate that seems to be attached to the top of the laptop case and the motherboard itself. I truly cannot figure out how to remove the top of the laptop past this point. There seems to be a connection to the metal plate at the network card, but it's in such an awkward position that all my attempts at unscrewing it have been failures.

This metal plate is related to the keyboard in some way, I'm sure. I just can't figure out how to separate it so that I can move on in this repair. I've found this "guide" but it's poorly translated and doesn't even address the issue.

I'm definitely stuck. Does anyone here have any experience with this stupid beast of a machine?
