Do Sony make their own laptop monitor, typically with their XBRITE HiColor?

Do the 3rd party company manufacture identical monitors but advertise them under different names eg: XBRITE HiColor, ClearView, TrueLife etc or do the company manufacture specific monitor with specific technology for specific PC manufacturer?

I'm quite surprised here. Vaio LCD screen probably one of the best.
Too bad Dell put cheap Samsung panel for their laptops.

I thought the Dell screens are the best in the industry because they are Samsung made , well , I guess every body has different opinion.

But Do you really think the Dell LCDs so bad?

Recently I bought XPS M1530 with 15.4 inch Samsung WXGA screen. This is my first Dell laptop to replace my old Toshiba.

When compare to Vaio FZ screen for example, FZ screen is perfect and beautiful, Very bright, backlight is even, and crystal clear. I think I want to put that screen in my laptop.

My M1530 screen is substandard. It has minor light bleed at the bottom, viewing angle is narrow and a bit “grainy”.

At Dell forum everybody complaining about their Samsung screen and some requested LG screen for replacement.

So maybe, cheap LG panel > cheap Samsung panel

I’m willing to pay more $$$ if Dell use more higher quality screen.

From what I know, the SZ LED screens are typically made by Toshiba-Matsu****a.
