Do you use fingerprint recognition? Do you think it makes your work more productive?

In my case, I am not so sure if I would continue using this gadget. On one hand, it is convenient that I don't have to remember every user name and password for every secure sites I visit. But on the other hand, it is a hassle that I have to take my finger off the keyboard and palmrest everytime I need to swap my finger on the sensor.

i've deactivated mine to save power. i find i don't use it much.

it's good for encryption of folders, login, and sites but since i use firefox and i don't need to hide folders i find it not useful. it's just me

I thought it was pretty cool when I got my first laptop that had one, but on my new computer it now just looks nice. I have no plans to use it.

I use to use mine a lot on my Fujitsu with omnipass but Upek sucks. The set up and control is too cluttered and not very friendly. Also, I hate that red box flash everytime I use it.

I agree, good for startup login, quicker than a password and your hands aren't already on the keyboard at this stage.
