    Hi,

Can you give me some comment?
Can I replace the MXM-I card with the MXM-III card?
I want to buy a Sony VAIO VGN-FZ260E laptop which its graphic card Nvidia GeForce 8400M G (MXM-I or II) is damaged and I have already have the MXM-III GeForce Go 6800. So I wonder if I can replace them.

I did some research and find out the dimension of all the MXM card type:

    MXM Type Width Length
    MXM-I 70 mm 68mm
    MXM-II 73 mm 78mm
    MXM-III 82 mm 100 mm
    MXM-IV 82 mm 115 mm
    MXM-HE 82 mm 100 mm

I don't have any laptop with MXM card before, so I just wonder if I can replace the MXM-I or MXM-II with the MXM-III card (maybe the graphic card slot is available to replace?)

    Thanks

Are you sure that it has an MXM slot in there? Most of the laptops don't have it, in that case the GPU is soldered to the motherboard, which means that it's not upgradeable. Let's just say that it has MXM, an MXM-II would probably fit in there, but forget about MXM-III. I just Googled your lappy, and I don't want to be pessimist, but it seems to be way too thin to have enough room for an MXM slot, sorry.

Well, the laptop detail said that it has Nvidia GeForce 8400M G (up to 1GB memory).
As I google it, I found that Nvidia Geforce 8400M G/GS/GT is MXM. So I think this Sony Vaio have MXM slot.

Nope. The Sony FZ series have soldered on graphics chips. There is no way to replace or upgrade them.
