Hi all. I'm going to be order a Sony SR 590. I'm getting this computer specifically because I want to avoid the countless heat problems with the Dell XPS. I want to make sure that the Sony SR does not have such issues. From all the research I've done it seems to me that the SR doesn't have any significant problems, so if anybody knows of any, please tell me about it. I appreciate it. I'd particularly like to hear from somebody who keeps their SR on almost all the time and uses it as their main machine.

i had a hp laptop b4 and averatec and they both had overheating problems. my sr has a dedicated video card and I can tell u it does not get hot on normal use and on intense gaming it's mildly warm. i keep mine on all day and night. there's a battery management included that prevents overcharging. i set mine to 80 percent and it stops charging hence saving the battery. hope that helps!
