    Hi All,

I have an SZ670N/C on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit and depend on Bitlocker for whole disk encryption. Now the motherboard has problems but the machine may last a little bit longer. Rather than buy a $700 motherboard from Sony I'd prefer to refresh to a new laptop if they still have high end lightweight laptops with a TPM...a new Z would be nice.

Reading here it's implied that Sony silently discontinued TPM's in the US.

Can anyone please share any truth on this? I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks,

    Dwight

My US Z is TPM free. Just use Diskcryptor instead.

That is correct, to my knowledge. Unless ordered with a Business/enterprise account.
