My VPC Z118 fell off the table and cracked the screen. When I tinker with the screen, I broke the interface on the motherboard; so I left the interface dangling and plan to use external monitors.

Now I have two monitors, Dell S2440L and Dell 1907FPV, I connected both of them with the VGA and HDMI(via a HDMI to DVI adapter) respectively in the SPEED mode,

In both NVIDIA Panel and Window 7 64bit Display Settings, the two external monitor and only them can be recognized.

But in NVIDIA Panel, It says this GPU(GT 330M) only supports one monitor; in Window 7 64bit Display Settings, I can't save the settings if I choose extend or duplicate display.

In the NVIDIA website ( GeForce GT 330M | Specifications | GeForce ), GT 330M can support Multi Monitors.

Is there any solution to this problem except a USB graphic adapter?

    Thank you.

I can remember when I owned th Z1 when I switched to Stamina the HDMI which is connected through the NVIDIA was disabled.

When in Speed mode both video entrys work, but only one at the same time!

The only way to use multiple external monitors with the Z11 is to have one connected to an external video card, which can include a USB video adapter.

For whatever reason, Sony disabled the 330's ability to output to two external monitors. Some think it is due to the multiplexing architecture required to handle the dynamic switching between Intel and nvidia cards. Sorry...
